Larry Percy brings valuable art education and 3D design experience to our programs of study. Mr. Percy successfully taught art for over 17 years in the public school systems of Kansas and Oklahoma before joining the department. His personal artwork in ceramic sculpture has garnered numerous regional and national awards. Mr. Percy has recently completed his 3rd Arts in Education Grant from the Alabama State Council on the Arts. These grants have served over 3,000 Pike County Elementary students with art lessons and provided approximately 200 Troy University pre-service elementary and art education majors with real world classroom teaching experiences. Mr. Percy currently serves as Secretary for the Alabama Art Education Associations Board of Directors and has been selected as that organization's Higher Art Educator of the Year award. In 2007, Larry Percy was awarded an arts fellowship from the Alabama State Council on the Arts.
