After Graduation
Congratulations! Many career opportunities are now available to you. After graduation, our students have chosen three different career paths. First, some of our students enjoy careers at research laboratories, both public and private, in industry, and with state and local governments. Second, many students opt for a graduate degree, which opens up even more career paths. Many graduate schools offer assistantships to help defray the costs of a graduate education. Third, some students enter professional schools (medical, dental, pharmacy, veterinary, etc.).

Departmental Clubs
Students are encouraged to join one or more of the Departments three clubs. Beta Beta Beta (the national honor society for the biological sciences), the Environmental Club, and Alpha Epsilon Delta (the health professions honor society).

Undergraduate Research
Students have the opportunity to perform research for course credit under the direct supervision of Departmental faculty. The students learn research techniques as they work with the faculty. Each year our undergraduate students present their research findings at regional and national scientific meetings and some publish them in professional journals. Please consider the Biology Major as your academic choice at Troy.
