WELCOME
Welcome to TROY 1101, University Orientation. During the first year of college, students establish the foundation upon which to base the remainder of their education. That is why it is extremely important that first-year students build a strong foundation academically and personally. To this end, the Troy University faculty and staff want to assist students in managing effectively the university environment and thinking critically about the choices they make regarding their college education and perspective career.
The first-year orientation course helps students develop an appreciation for and understanding of higher education, learn about the Troy University system worldwide, become familiar with the resources of the University, acquire strategies for succeeding in college and in a career, engage in campus activities, participate in a common reading initiative, and persist from their first year to graduation.
