Scholars, practitioners and students are invited to submit abstracts for the 6th Annual Southern Sport Management Conference (SSMC) hosted by Troy University on April 14th-16th, 2010.  The Southern Sport Management Conference aims to provide Sport Management scholars, practitioners, and students with current industry trends and issues via academic and professional presentations.  This conference seeks to blend research and experience from the academician and the practitioner.

The 6th Annual Southern Sport Management Conference strives to provide valuable experiences for scholars, practitioners, and students.  Specifically, the 2010 SSMC organizing committee, in conjunction with Troy University's College of Health and Human Services, has established two honorary awards including a Sport Management Scholar Lifetime Achievement Award and a Sport Management Practitioner Lifetime Achievement Award.  The purpose of these awards is to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions respectively to the academic and practical fields of Sport Management. Currently, the potential candidates for these awards are being reviewed.  In addition to these honorary awards, the 2010 SSMC will feature a Student Presentation Competition and a Sport Management Career/Internship Fair.

We hope that you and your students will attend the 6th Annual Southern Sport Management Conference.  The call for research and poster presentation guidelines is listed below.
