Admissions Requirements
Minimum requirement for acceptance into the program is a composite score of 26 on the ACT, a composite score of 1180 on the SAT, or a 26 composite score on the ACT Residual, which is offered at TROY.
To be officially inducted into the University Honors Program, a student must...
- complete one freshman honors colloquium during the Fall semester of the freshman year
- take one Honors version of a General Studies course during the Fall semester of the freshman year and one in the Spring semester of the freshman year
- earn a cumulative GPA of 3.3 at the end of the Fall semester.
To graduate with Honors-as a University Honors Scholar, a student must...
- take four 3-hour Colloquium courses-HON 1101, HON 2200, HON 3300, HON 4400
- maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.3
- take 6 hours of one foreign language
- take seven Honors versions of General Studies courses over four different disciplines
Students must attend the Honors orientation, which is held during the Summer Semester IMPACT orientation session.
A student may not be officially inducted into the University Honors Program until the end of his or her freshman year - provided the student meets minimum requirements.
