Undergraduate Admissions


ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
The following credentials must be received by the Center for International Programs at least two months prior to admission:

I. A completed Application Form.

II. Official secondary school transcript including notice of graduation and diploma. The transcript and diploma/certification must be translated into English; translation must be certified for accuracy.
 

III. One of the following if your native language is not English:

1. Test of English as a Foreign Language [TOEFL] score*. Minimum acceptable score is 500 paper-based, 173 computer-based or 61 on the internet-based TOEFL. The official copy of the score report is to be received by International Student Admissions Department directly from ETS before your arrival to Troy University. [The TOEFL code for Troy University is 1738]

2. SAT score. Minimum acceptable composite score on the SAT is 870 with at least 430 score on the verbal portion.

3. IELTS score. Minimum acceptable score is 5.5.

4. STEP score. Minimum acceptable score from Japan only is Pre-First Grade

Note 1: International students transferring from other institutions in the United States must also meet this requirement unless they have completed the equivalent of English 1101 (English Composition).

IV. A detailed statement of financial status that clearly documents your ability to finance your studies at Troy University. This statement must show a minimum of $15,500 available per academic year and must be current. If statement of financial status is not in applicant's name an original sponsor letter is also required.

U.S. Sponsors must fill out for I-134 Affidavit of Support. This document must be notarized.

V. Application fee of $30.

VI. A photo copy of passport or national ID
