The curriculum in the mathematics major at TSU prepares its graduates for successful and exciting careers in business, government and industry and continued study in graduate school.   The curriculum includes applied and theoretical courses.   Employers of our graduates include NASA, Microsoft, ALFA, Regions Bank, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, National Security Administration, Detroit Edison, Nichols Research Corporation, and South Central Bell.    Our graduates have successfully completed masters and doctoral degrees at major universities throughout the southeast. 

The mathematics major includes 38 hours of courses in mathematics beyond Calculus I.   Graduates with a mathematics major would also complete 46 hours of general studies courses (including Calculus I) and 36 hours in either a second major, two minors, or one minor and electives.
