About Us
The Troy University School of Nursing consists of the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs. Additionally, the School of Nursing offers the RN to BSN-MSN track for registered nurses who hold degrees from NLNAC accredited associate or diploma programs and seek to complete BSN and MSN degrees.
The MSN program prepares clinical nurse specialists in Adult Health Nursing and Maternal-Infant Health Nursing, nursing informatics specialists, and nurse practitioners as Family Nurse Practitioners. A post-master’s family nurse practitioner certificate (PMC) option is available for those holding an MSN degree. The DNP program offers post-baccalaureate and post-master’s options for those seeking to complete a practice-focused doctorate as a clinical nurse specialist or nurse practitioner. The School of Nursing is a component of the College of Health and Human Services.
Accreditation and Approval
The ASN, BSN, MSN/PMC, and DNP programs are accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). NLNAC specialized accreditation indicates that the School of Nursing has been found to meet or exceed standards and criteria for education quality. These standards meet the recognition standards of The Council for Higher Education Accreditation; NLNAC also is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a national accrediting agency for nursing education.
