The MSN Clinical Nurse Specialist track offers two clinical options: Adult Health Nursing and Maternal-Infant Health Nursing and two role options: educator and administrator. The MSN Clinical Nurse Specialist track requires completion of 39 semester hours (see MSN Clinical Nurse Specialist Track Program of Studies for more information about required courses).
Courses in the Clinical Nurse Specialist track are offered in Montgomery, Troy, and Phenix City. A learning resource center and computer services are available at all sites. Various settings and facilities may be utilized for clinical experiences.
Students are accepted for admission to the Clinical Nurse Specialist track for part-time study every semester or full-time study in the Fall semester. (See MSN Program for Admission Process and Requirements.) Students are required to begin the clinical sequence in the Fall semester. The Maternal-Infant Health Nursing clinical courses are taught every other year. The role courses are taught in the final Fall semester of the program sequence.

- Completion of the course of study in 3 semesters of full-time (and one additional semester of part-time study) or approximately 5 semesters of part-time study
