The MSN Nursing Informatics Specialist track focuses on the nursing informatics specialist's role in the healthcare environment. It prepares the specialist with knowledge and skills to generate and distribute information through computer-based applications. The MSN Nursing Informatics Specialist track requires completion of 34 semester hours (see MSN Nursing Informatics Specialist Track Program of Studies for more information about required courses).
Courses in the Nursing Informatics Specialist track are completely web-based. A learning resource center and computer services are available at all sites. Various settings and facilities may be utilized for clinical experiences.
Students are accepted for admission to the Nursing Informatics Specialist track for part-time study every semester or full-time study in the Fall semester. (See MSN Program for Admission Process and Requirements.)
