Greek Organizations
The Greek system at Troy has been established to assist students in the achievement of their educational aims. Fraternities and sororities enable students to broaden themselves intellectually and socially by working with people of diverse backgrounds dedicated to common goals. These groups offer many experiences to assist the individual in obtaining an education - the opportunity to develop leadership and responsibility and a varied social program.
Membership selection is accomplished through a system called rush, recruitment or membership intake. The Interfraternity Council, the Panhellenic Council and the NPHC Council send a booklet to entering students during the summer which contains information concerning membership selection and eligibility. You may also go by the Office of Student Involvement, Trojan Center 215, for detailed information concerning recruitment.
