CREATE OPPORTUNITIES

Have you ever heard someone speak of being in the “Right Place at the Right Time?” Well, it may happen to some people, but most of the time we can’t sit around waiting for luck to come and sweep us off our feet-we need to CREATE OPPORTUNITIES for growth, change, development, and happiness.

What are some ways we can create opportunities and increase/maintain a strong self motivational level?

Have a sense of direction. Identify your priorities. Have a vision and believe in it. Challenge yourself. Build your team and know who you can count on. Take time for yourself. Keep things in perspective. Know what is important and what needs to be done. Realize that not everyone is as motivated as you. Find other’s potential and use it. Realize an excuse when you hear it-yours and others. Always have a Plan B and set realistic but challenging deadlines. Remember you are a Role Model-because you choose to be one. You will learn from everything you do-so take notes. You won’t know all the answers-get help! Don’t expect recognition-but if you get it-remember to say “Thank You.” Understand that leaders have to make decisions and its O.K. to disagree.
