Dr. Carol A. B. Jordan
Carol Jordan

Dr. Carol A. B. Jordan is the Eminent Scholar of Risk Management & Insurance at Troy University. She held the State Farm Endowed Professorship of Insurance at the University of Louisiana at Monroe from August 1994 through August 2000.

Prior to her work in Louisiana, Dr. Jordan was Associate Professor of Insurance at Eastern Kentucky University. She also has been the sole proprietor of Jordan Consulting since 1988 and through her consulting firm she works as a testifying expert in the areas of life insurance, disability income, personal lines, insurance industry practice, and bad faith.

Dr. Jordan serves as Visiting Professor to Lloyd's of London during summers, teaching underwriters and brokers at Lloyd's. She completed her BSBA at Bowling Green State University in 1983, the MBA at the University of Georgia in 1985, and the Ph.D. at Georgia in 1991. Before coming to academia, Dr. Jordan worked in the insurance industry first as a claims adjuster, then commercial lines underwriter, and finally as an agent.

She is a Past President of the Southern Risk and Insurance Association and a member of Western Risk and Insurance Association and the American Risk and Insurance Association.
