The Risk Management & Insurance program at Troy University held its fifth annual E&S Symposium on October 15 & 16. The symposium was moved from Orange Beach to Montgomery , Alabama because of hurricane damage to the Perdido Resort. The Embassy Suites in Montgomery did a great job of meeting planning on very short notice.

Speakers included Tony Markel, of MarkelCorp, Fran O'Connell of Shand Morahan, John DiBiasi of Nautilus, Tom Mulligan of Western World, Dick Bouhan of NAPSLO, Darragh Gray of Lloyd's of London, John Latham of Markel and Jerry Sullivan of the Sullivan Group. Students attended from University of Georgia, Florida State University, University of Louisiana- Lafayette, Central Arkansas, Middle Tennessee State, Appalachian State, Illinois State, Indiana State, and Troy University.

Insurers and brokers from around the country have requested the Résumé Book from the symposium. It is hoped that many students are offered great jobs as a result of meeting industry professionals at the symposium.
