Meet the Staff

Fran Scheel, Director of Counseling Services; Project Coordinator for SAVE Project Fran Scheel serves as Project Coordinator for the SAVE Project and University Counselor for Personal Counseling. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Auburn University and a master’s degree in Psychology and Counseling from Troy University-Dothan. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor, State Licensed Professional Counselor, and an Approved Clinical Supervisor by both the National Board of Certified Counselors and the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling. Fran serves as a R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) Self Defense Instructor and the State Director for R.A.D. Systems. She is certified in Basic, Advanced, Keychain and Aerosol defense systems and has been teaching for 9 years. 

Jenny Duncan, Assistant Coordinator
Jenny serves as Assistant Coordinator for the Sexual Assault and Violence Education Project and as a university counselor. She earned her Masters degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University. She is an Associate Licensed Counselor & a certified basic Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) instructor. She is a member of  the American Counseling Association as well as the American College Counseling Association.

Anna Burchett, Counselor
Anna serves as a counselor for both the S.A.V.E. Project and personal counseling department. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Auburn University and her Master's degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University-Dothan. Anna is an Associate Licensed Counselor and a member of the American Counseling Association and the American College Counseling Association.

Morgan Johnson, Peer Educator
Morgan serves as the Peer Educator for the SAVE Project. Her main role is to present to the student body on the topics of sexual assault, domestic violence, date rape drugs, eating disorders and stress management. Morgan earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Troy University and is currently working on her Master’s degree in Community Counseling at Troy University.
