Services include notifying instructors about the student's disabling condition and specific accommodations to which the student is entitled.
Student tutors assist in administering oral and extended timed testing to students who qualify to test in the Adaptive Needs office. Tutors also assist students by proofreading papers, studying and reviewing notes for tests, providing reader and scribe services when necessary, and by enlarging printed texts and class notes.
Reasonable accommodations are provided based upon individual need. Each student must provide recent documentation of his or her disability in order to participate in the Adaptive Needs Program.

The purpose of this service is to assist those students who are having academic difficulties, those who are indecisive about a major field of study, or those who wish to know how their abilities relate to a certain major field of study. A student's academic choices are usually made after a better understanding of his aptitudes and interests. Many times, academic problems are interrelated with personal and vocational problems, and only after a complete picture of the three areas is established can a student overcome his academic problems. Services provided include monitoring academic progress, academic planning, and registration support. Counseling services advises "Undecided" and "Conditional" students about academic decisions.

Many students find that personal concerns interfere with various aspects of their college life. University Counseling provides an atmosphere in which students may discuss such concerns freely and confidentially. Counseling is a process whereby a student gains understanding of himself and his opportunities in order that he may make adjustments and decisions in situations that confront him now, as well as in the future. Counseling is also offered through the Care Team, a response network for students facing crisis.
